Penny Davies & Roger Ilott
They made their first LP in 1983, building their own studio and creating their own label in order to do so. They have recorded many other Australian artists in their studio during the decades since then. Their label, Restless Music, has remained independent, and has recorded such artists as Gary Shearston, Vince Brophy, Dave de Hugard, Bob & Margaret Fagan, the Spangled Drongoes and Skewiff to name just a few. A number of their songs have all featured on the Australian Broadcasting Commision’s bestselling Australia All Over series of albums.
As well as performing at many National Folk Festivals, Penny and Roger have been featured artists at Woodford, Tablelands Folk Festival. Neurum Creek, Maleny, Cabarlah, Sawtell, Jamberoo, Illawarra, Folk By The Sea, Jondaryan Heritage, the Settle Folk Gathering (UK). They have also performed in Maine (USA) with folksinger Gordon Bok in concert. They have the ability to enthral audiences of all ages with their natural warmth and humour and sparkling acoustic arrangements.
