Jason David
In the past few years, Jason gained the confidence to sing while playing guitar and his song writing style changed to a more acoustic folk-based sound, mainly because he had grown to love the sound of the acoustic guitar.
More recently he has developed a fondness for effect pedals making the sound more versatile. Although the majority of the time he still writes simply by picking up the acoustic (unplugged) and recording the idea/riff/song etc onto a phone to get started.
Jason has performed at a few events locally around the Southern Downs area as well as regular performances at The Little Theatre Open Mic nights in Stanthorpe. Often with renowned bass player Andrew Johnson
He recently went to the studio and recorded four songs with Andy Wilmott at Soular Music Studios. Andy played drums and Andrew Johnson played bass at the sessions.
Andy also recorded, mixed, mastered, and co- produced the project with Jason. It was a rewarding experience for all involved and Jason is looking forward to recording more of his compositions in the next few months. And… we all look forward to hearing his new releases.
